Verification Checking
Human Resources undertakes verification checks to ensure that the University is meeting legislative obligations and the information a candidate provides is accurate. An offer of employment will be subject to the following verification checks:
- Right to Work in Australia
- any applicable tertiary qualifications
- a Working with Children check (where applicable)
- a Criminal History check (where applicable)
- a Fraud and Bankruptcy check (where applicable)
- other checks may be required depending upon the specific nature of the position.
It is possible for an offer of employment to be sent prior to these checks being completed, however an employment contract may become void if these verification checks are not satisfactory.
